Classification: Full Time Compensation: $75,000 to $90,000 per year New Ecommerce Buyer Position in Alameda California. Large furniture manufacturing wholesaler is establishing a new online presence for its direct-to-consumer online sales site. The website was only recently developed, and a commercial purchaser is needed for actual implementation and rollout. The position will report to a New Jersey-based supervisor on a teleconference basis, but will operate exclusively out of the distribution and corporate office located in Alameda. No travel is required. The purchaser will have access to all manufacturers domestically and internationally, and will need to use these resources, in combination with their existing buyer work history, to be able to adequately stock all of the consumer, vendor, and retail needs. This position will require 5+ minimum years as a purchaser with at least 2 years experience purchasing furniture on a commercial basis. This is a permanent, direct-hire opportunity, and thus steady and consistent work history is required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also required. Due to the high-profile nature of this position within the organization, the salary can potentially pay up to $80,000 per year depending on experience.
