(NYSE-BE) is one of the world's largest Management and Technology Consulting companies dedicated to aligning business and systems to empower Global 2000 companies and government organizations.The BearingPoint Public Services Group is currently searching for an Oracle DBA.Location/s: Springfield, VARelocation: MaybePerformance Profile:Candidate will be responsible for application development (development, maintenance, and sustainment) for applications supporting hundreds of thousands of users in government agencies.Responsibilities include full life cycle software development for new and existing fielded applications: evaluating customer requirements, making appropriate technical recommendations, estimate development timelines, drafting architectural and detailed design documents. Candidate is expected to be proactive in recommending changes to management to improve application performance, reliability, and security. Will work with architecture team to define conceptual vision for enterprise Identity Management Strategy across products, services and devices.General Requirements:
Must have Bachelor’s degree (Computer Science, Engineering or Systems Engineering a strong plus)
US Citizenship and able to pass a background check
Excellent writing and oral communication skills
Self motivated and able to work in an independent manner
Able to work in a fast paced deadline driven environmentTechnical Requirements:
Five or more years of large database design and development experience
Experience with Oracle 9i and/or 10g database administration on a Windows platform
Experience with designing and developing PL/SQL stored procedures, tables, and views within an Oracle environment
Ability to normalize flat data files and design/automate data manipulations for millions of records
Skilled in database optimization, performance, and backup and recovery procedures
Experience with configuration and administration of database security
Ability to coordinate with application developers in the design and implementation of physical data structures to support application requirements
Ability to clearly document database development and administration activities
Experience developing databases for web-based software, especially Java/J2EE
Understanding of software development methodologies and technologies such as source control, change management, and defect management
Knowledge of Biometrics and /or Smartcards, including relevant standards
Understanding of Identity management and regulatory requirements
Hands-on experience with at least one of the IdM technologies
Experience with Crystal Reports is a plus
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server is a plus
Experience with Oracle on Unix platform(s) is a plus
