Legg Mason's Technology Services Department is currently seeking an Operations Analyst at our Owings Mills, MD, location. This position will provide day-to-day operational support for AMTS operations acting as first line of response to clients on complex issues. Ensures quality and integrity of related data through monitoring of regular audits. QA's applications developed for departmental use. Maintains solid lines of communication with clients and management to research and resolve data related issues. Assists in facilitating operational data conversion processes.

BUSINESS FUNCTIONS:
' Responsible for the data integrity in multiple record-keeping environments. Activities related to either:
' Performs security master setup and maintenance including determination and creation of complex security types across all currencies. OR Performs daily holdings and transaction reconciliation tasks.
' Assist with conversion deployments
' Executes required workarounds for handling complex corporate actions.
' Oversees integrity of pricing data as it is represented in the record-keeping system.
' Under the direction of the Operations Specialist performs additional tasks associated with client reporting and fee billing processes.
' Performs setup and maintenance of portfolio data.
' Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
SPECIFIC BUSINESS KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
' High School Diploma/GED
' 1-3 years experience
' Has working knowledge of security functions for domestic, international and derivative securities
' Possesses understanding of pricing methodologies and related vendors. Has experience with market data vendors and their offerings
' Possesses knowledge of transaction processing and developing knowledge of related performance impact.

SPECIFIC TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
' Microsoft Windows NT, word processing and spreadsheet applications
' Working knowledge of PORTIA Recordkeeping System preferred
' Knowledge of PORTIA report development and system import functions preferred
' Other responsibilities as required.
