Office Coordinator
World Avenue is a leading provider of performance-based interactive marketing solutions, and lead generation services. Clients include such leading firms as Blockbuster, Discover, BMG/Columbia House and more. Headquartered in South Florida, our rapidly expanding company has been profitable since our inception in 2002 and is generating attractive profit margins.
As we continue to grow, so do our staffing needs. World Avenue is seeking an Office Coordinator.
SUMMARY
Under general supervision, responsible for providing general office support with a variety of clerical activities and related tasks.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
-Answers incoming telephone calls and ensures they are handled in an efficient and courteous manner.
-Takes and retrieves messages for various personnel.
-Directs callers to the appropriate individual.
-Transfers callers to employee’s voice mailbox when the associate is unavailable.
-Greets and directs visitors to the company in a courteous and professional manner.
-Monitors visitors’ access to the building by maintaining a visitors’ log and issuing access badges when necessary.
-Notifies appropriate personnel of visitor arrival.
-Ensures continued front desk coverage/back-up during all absences.
-Liaises with personnel and landlord with regard to building related issues.
-Receives and sorts incoming mail.
-Coordinates the pick-up and delivery of express mail services (FedEx, UPS, etc.).
-Assists office manager in the ordering, receiving, stocking and distribution of office and kitchen supplies.
-Maintains a neat and organized reception area.
-Other projects as assigned by Office Manager.
REQUIREMENTS
-Strong organizational skills
-Outgoing personality
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Exceptional interpersonal communication skills
-Must be a self-starter, self-motivated and able to work independently on assigned tasks
-Must be able to accept direction on given assignments
-Must be able to work collectively with the administrative team associates
-Able to adjust to new situations
-Effective problem-solving skills
-Ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent (GED); and minimum 2 years related experience.
