Nursing Home Administrator

The Administrator shall have proven leadership ability and demonstrated skills related to management, strategic and long range planning and quality improvement. The qualified candidate must have budgeting experience and be skilled in reading and interpreting financial statements. Additional skill requirements include effective team building and team development, excellent communication both in writing and verbally, computer literate, ability to maintain effective working relationships with varied and diverse individuals, including residents, families, staff, churches, and the community.

Responsible for performing a variety of duties to support the facility operation in compliance with federal, state, and applicable local statutes, regulations, and/or ordinances. Perform all functions with an emphasis on Quality of Care, customer service; coordinating work within the facility. Responsible for all licensing and survey activities on behalf of the facility and ensure that the facility is in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local statutes, regulations, and ordinances. In cooperation with the appropriate facility and corporate staff, seek and obtain reimbursement for all eligible services provided by the facility to residents and others. Assure availability and appropriate use of residents’ current financial information.
REQUIREMENTS
A BS or BA in health care administration or a related field.
Current Pennsylvania NHA Licensure required.

Three – five years experience as a nursing home administrator or five years management experience in a long-term facility.
