Network Controllers with TS/SCI Full Scope Polygraph

We currently have needs for Network Controllers with TS/SCI Full Scope Polygraph. These opportunities will be located throughout Northern, Va.

Network Controller will provide first-level network operations; use of automated network management tools to perform daily monitoring and control of network managed elements in accordance with established procedures; update and close required trouble tickets; perform dial-up testing on network managed elements. Interaction is required with the LAN/WAN technicians, test personnel, commercial and government customers, and other engineers. The ability to work well independently as part of a friendly team-oriented environment is important.

Experience using Network Operation Center components such as trouble-ticket systems (i.e., Remedy), client databases, and routing protocols in wide-area networking (WAN) environment are desired. Candidates should have hands on experience with Cisco- 2500, 4500, 3500, 3600, 7200 routers, as well as Catalyst 5500 and 6500 Layer 3 switches. Mastery of routing protocols such as EIGRP, OSPF, RIP, and BGP is expected. The successful candidate will also have an understanding of 802.1q, ISL, IP Tunneling, DES/3DES, Access Control Lists (ACLs), and Cisco IOS. Experience with legacy LAN technologies such as token ring and FDDI is a plus. The successful candidate will also have a solid understanding of ATM Forum PNNI, PVCs, SPVCs, PVPs, SPVPs, DTLs, and ATM traffic management. Hands on experience with Marconi ASX 200BX, ASX 1000/1200, ASX 4000, BXR 48000, TimePlex, CYLINKS, Optical power meters, cryptographic devices, and Oscilloscopes/FIREBERDs is expected.

Marconi Public ATM/Enterprise ATM Switch Certification and/or Cisco Certifications are highly desired.

BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or any related technical degree is preferred. Experience in lieu of degree will be considered.
