National Account Manager
Goodman Networks, a professional services company serving the wireline and wireless telecommunications industry, is a National Vendor for Cingular Wireless, Andrew Corp., and Alcatel. We are currently seeking a skilled National Account Manager for work in the North.Position Summary:
The National Accounts Manager (NAM) will serve as a senior leader for the ongoing maintenance, development, and management of one or more of our major accounts. This person will assume a leadership position on these accounts and will nurture and grow these relationships. The NAM is responsible for directing and managing the day-to-day client relationship and account activities between Goodman Networks and assigned Clients, in partnership with the Regional Account Managers (RAM). The NAM must be able to manage internal and external client interactions and be able to communicate and provide guidance on overall account strategy.Responsibilities:
Mission: Revenue Growth in each account year over year.
Proactively review existing account(s) and identifying opportunities with either the current Client division or penetrating other Client divisions.
Collaborate with Operations management in development and ongoing improvement of services metrics, processes, systems, methodologies, and planning.Work with RAM(s) to develop proactive proposals and responses to Client initiated RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs. When possible NAM will work with client on developing pre-RFP proposals of work and SOW documents.
NAM will be responsible for managing the Client Supply Chain, Corporate Sourcing and/or National Procurement organization to ensure complete visibility of Regional and National RFx opportunities.
Advise Clients in planning, recurring and one-time programs and providing overall visibility with Client on tactical execution & operational issues.
Manage project workflow and internal/external client meetings to ensure all Client projects/campaigns are completed on time, within budget, and to Client’s full satisfaction.Manage an ongoing Quarterly Business Review (QBR) process with Client, focused on ensuring Client defined metrics are met and exceeded. Schedule and plan the meetings, lead the Operations team, own and drive the presentations.
Develop and demonstrate in-depth understanding of Client business models, strategies, management structure / styles, and politics in an effort to positively affect their business objectives.
Maintain and build rapport with middle and upper Client management.
Know, practice and lead Goodman Networks Client Engagement Method.
NAM will act as a Point of Escalation (POE) for RAM related Accounts Receivable concerns. NAM will work towards resolution with national contact database.
REQUIREMENTS
Core Competencies and Requirements:
Communication – Effective expression in written and verbal form within and outside Goodman Networks to ensure clear understanding and expectations of all concerned. Effective expression of ideas, tasks, and status to a variety of levels of internal and external clients in a clear and concise manner.
Work with internal Goodman Networks partners to develop client proposals, scope documents, schedules, timelines, project lists, status reports, estimates, agreements, and internal/external Client Meeting notes.
Technical Proficiency – The successful candidate will posses a minimum of five to seven years in the direct marketing industry. This experience will ideally be within the high tech/telecom industry or a B2B direct marketing organization. They will have a college degree, marketing preferred. Their experience will include technology/telecom industry account management responsibility where there have worked with Clients or suppliers in executing and/or selling prospect/customer database and direct marketing programs.

Marketing: This professional must understand and be able to communicate practical marketing applications to clients.
Empathy: Strong listening skills to ensure response to client business needs is critical.
Collaboration: This professional must have the ability to coordinate activities across multiple Goodman Networks operating units to ensure that client needs are being met.Account Leadership: Ability to link resources, and ensure great service while pursuing growth opportunities within existing accounts.Compensation:
