Microelectronics Controller

Job Summary
Responsible for controlling accounting operations, maintaining fiscal records, and preparing financial reports for the Microelectronics Segment in compliance with the policies and procedures of Corporate Accounting. Responsible for general accounting, cost accounting, and budgetary activities. Prepares and interprets accounting and financial data to measure financial condition of the Microelectronics Division under the direction of the Chief Financial Officer. Supervises one direct report; a Cost Accountant. JD Edwards and FAS lead user.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
•Prepares, interprets and presents accounting and financial data to measure financial condition of the Microelectronics Segment.
•Responsible for cost accounting, budgeting, and internal controls of the segment.
•Assists segment management in cost, pricing, and financial analysis.
•Directs and supervises a Cost Accountant in support of all segment accounting.
•Responsible for SEC and SOX reporting and compliance as assigned.
•Lead Accounting representative in the use of JD Edwards Accounting System components and FAS for all divisions.
•Regular attendance is required.
•May occasionally be required to work overtime.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
•Regularly required to use hands to handle or feel.
•Vision requirements include color, depth perception, close and distant vision and ability to adjust focus.
•Occasionally required to lift files (up to 20 lbs.).
•May be exposed to general office working conditions, which include exposure to florescent lights and may include risk of radiation from computer monitor.
•The typical work environment has a low noise level.
REQUIREMENTS
Skills & Abilities
•Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
•Cost accounting experience required.
•Previous 3 to 5 years management experience required.
•Experience using JD Edwards (One world version) or similar ERP system required.
•Good communication skills.


Education/Experience Requirements
• Typically requires Bachelors Degree in Accounting and seven to ten years prior experience working in a public company environment, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
