If you bring these qualities to your work, then we'd like you to consider joining our team.Under general supervision, manages the process of internal reporting through preparation of all financial analysis for respective area of responsibility (Research & Development). Oversees the compliance with all reporting requirements and is the primary point of contact for respective area of responsibility as well as assists management with Corporate and internal/external auditor requirements and communication with senior management. Essential functions include:
Performs accounting and finance research, as required, and prepares related documentation supporting such research.
Assists in preparation of Board materials, shareholder meetings, management reviews and other similar activities, as requested, by management.
Interfaces on accounting and finance matters with other departments in the organization.
Prepares financial statements and related disclosures and other information for internal distribution.
Responsible for ensuring compliance with financial reporting as directed by Corporate
Accounting, such as Sarbanes-Oxley Act, GAAP reporting, etc.
Coordinates the preparation of financial presentations.
Assists in the development and support of the corporate policies and internal control reviews, including safety rules and regulations.
Could supervise subordinate personnel.
Assist as needed with site payroll functions.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, procedures, and state, federal and local laws.
Performs related duties as assigned.Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field from an accredited college or university, Five (5) - seven (7) years of financial analyst experience, preferably in pharmaceutical industry, three (3) of which must be in a supervisory capacity; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of: Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and other regulatory requirements.
Finance and accounting theory, principles, practices, and their application.
Principles and practices of budget preparation and administration.
Principles and practices of general accounting, mathematical and statistical computations.
English usage, spelling, grammar and punctuation.
