Job Description:
Responsible for billing and collections of Home Care A/R. Assist supervisor in directing staff to increase cash collections and decrease bad debt expense.

Responsibilities:
Collection duties will include follow-up and collection on accounts, determining whether or not accounts were properly billed, monitoring accounts to determine the timeliness of collection/payment, making inquiries to insurances, and preparation of necessary paperwork on refunds/credit balances for processing.

Analyze accounts for adjustment and follow-up; efficient resolution of customer problems and inquiries. Oversee major accounts and participates in presentations to improve collections. Provide assistance to department supervision in preparing summary reports, analyzing denials/rejects reasons, and providing detail information relating to the communication of A/R data. Special projects as assigned including new system implementation and conversion.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related Business field.
Must have excellent written and oral communication skills. Above average computer skills using Microsoft office including Excel and Access. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail. Experience in billing and collection (medical preferred).
