MEDICAID BILLERS – To $16.00/hour!

•Responsible for billing Medicaid on a national basis.
•Review remittance advice forms to verify proper reimbursement and to make adjustments as necessary.
•Responsible for the analysis of patient records and determining the legitimacy of treatment, diagnostic testing, admissions,
•Process billing and follow-up.
•Check to ensure that hospital records for patients include all information required for reimbursement.
•Verify correct coding to ensure prompt payment.
•Verifies billing information for electronic claims transmission and hard copy billing (UB-92 and HCFA)
•Consults with claims processors regarding disputes/denied claims and follow up on all bills not processed within usual claim period.
REQUIREMENTS
•Minimum 6 months Medical Billing and Medicaid billing experience – this is not an entry level position.
•Knowledge of managed care contracts, workers’ compensation legal requirements, and fee schedules may be required.
•Knowledge of computerized billing software.
•Experience with either HCFA's and/or UB's.
•Must possess knowledge of ICD-9, CPT, HCPCS and OP coding,
•Medical Terminology knowledge.
•HIPAA compliant.
•Must have a High School Diploma or Equivalent.
