Mechanic II - Field Service Mechanic

The position consists of performing repairs and maintenance on a wide range of construction equipment in the field. The Field Service Mechanic’s primary objective is to minimize customer downtime on equipment through quick, accurate diagnoses and repairs. When not performing repairs in the field, regular preventive maintenance and minor repairs on equipment and delivery vehicles are performed in the branch shop. The position requires advanced troubleshooting skills with electrical, hydraulic, ignition, pneumatic systems, diesel and gas engines as well as drive trains.Job Requirements

Must own personal set of tools and roll away toolbox and be willing to add to personal tool inventory. Mechanical knowledge of construction equipment and customer service experience is preferred. Must possess electric arc (stick), gas and brazing welding skills. Must possess good communication skills to enable communication with customers and co-workers. Have the ability to multi-task; be detail oriented, effectively manage your time and be able to work unsupervised. Must have the ability to grasp and apply new information quickly. Be able to frequently lift 25 lbs, occasionally lift 50 lbs, and seldom lift 90 lbs. and have the ability to frequently climb in and out of equipment. Must have a current driver’s license and maintain a good driving record.
