Marketing Associate - Financial Services Industry - L4

Known as employers of choice for innovative human resources programs, they are dedicated to helping their clients and people excel.Deloitte is currently searching for a Marketing Associate to work with the National Financial Services Marketing group in the development and execution of national marketing and business development programs.  This individual will allocate approximately 60% of their time supporting the creation of integrated marketing programs for the insurance practice.  The remaining 40% will be allocated to supporting
financial services marketing programs and internal communications.  This position will be located in our 2 World Financial Center office in downtown New York.
Responsibilities include the following:
         Support and assist in the development of marketing programs.  
- Help to create program deliverables for various marketing issue campaigns, including articles, sales sheets, press releases and whitepapers.
- Help with the creation and distribution of client newsletters and issue briefings.
- Coordinate speaking opportunities for select (insurance industry) subject matter experts at key national association meetings and other privately organized industry meetings.
- Maintain website and other sales support materials
- Coordinate the design and execution of client events geared toward education and prospective client acquisition including, but not limited to conferences, regional seminars, webcasts and trade shows. (Some domestic
travel involved.)
- Create internal communications to build insurance network and profile within Deloitte
- Work with national and regional FSI marketing professionals to track the results of our client programs, particularly sales activity and follow-up client contact.
 
Qualifications and requirements include the following:
 
         Bachelor's degree in related discipline and 3+ years of prior relevant experience in marketing, public relations or communications
         Experience working as a team player in a professional services or large matrixed company a plus
- Excellent written and oral communications skills and professional client service manner
- Superior Microsoft Office skills
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and interact with all levels of management; self-starter
- Project management experience
- Marketing education preferred or at least a sound knowledge of marketing fundamentals
- Conceptual
thinker; able to develop compelling messaging and clearly communicate complex ideas
- Knowledge of internet navigation & research
- Experience with the financial services industry, and insurance, in particular, a plus
