JOB TITLE: Manufacturing/Cost Accountant

REPORTS TO: Division Controller

POSITIONS AND EMPLOYEES REPORTING TO INCUMBENT:
1 virtual employee

JOB SUMMARY: Performs accounting functions consisting of inventory/manufacturing cost analysis and oversight of global standard cost maintenance for the Emerson Heating Products Division Plants.


MAJOR DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.Partners with key internal customers (i.e. operations) to ensure accurate and meaningful reporting and analysis.
2.Reviews, manages, and sets standard costs for labor, burden, and raw materials.
3.Rolling Sales Cost Quotes.
4.Oversee the timely maintenance of standard costs.
5.Monitoring all inventory transactions and reconciling perpetual inventories to General Ledger.
6.Monitoring scrap reporting.
7.Monitoring cycle counting.
8.Reporting standard gross profits and analyzing variations.
9.Analyzing and reporting plant efficiencies and productivity.
10.Analyzing and reporting plant expenditures vs. budgets.
11. Directs annual division budgeting process.
12.Supports monthly close process.
13. Manage the division Appropriation Request process
14. Maintain North American PP&E records

EXPERIENCE AND TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:

3-5 years manufacturing/cost accounting work experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Technical skills in account reconciliation, cost analysis, and month-end close responsibilities, etc.
Planning and organization: an ability plan and manage multiple projects.
Ability to work in a fast paced work environment.
Attention to detail.
Problem analysis and problem resolution.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
High performance teams and a strong team player.
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
