Manager of Technical Accounting Derivatives

We are looking to add a Manager of Technical Accounting to our organization in the New York area. The ideal candidate will be passionate as it relates to Technical Accounting, an expert in Derivatives and up to date on all of the latest rules and policies.

Job Description:

Primary responsibility will be to implement and interpret technical accounting and financial reporting requirements for the company. Areas of focus will include share-based compensation, derivatives, acquisitions, variable interests entities, impairment, foreign currency, equity transactions and SEC reporting. Experience in each of these areas are essential. Additionally, individual will be responsible for updating accounting policies to conform to new accounting standards.Individual will work with various groups (e.g. Treasury, Legal, Planning, Tax, Domestic and International Accounting teams) to ensure the company is up to date on latest interpretations and changing requirements. Additionally, individual will be the primary liaison with the external audit team.

Background Required:

Qualified candidate will have a BS in Accounting or Finance, a passion for technical accounting and the ability to communicate and implement new accounting requirements. 7-10 years experience required, as well as a CPA.
