Manager of Reimbursement
Excellent opportunity to serve as Lead for the management of the Hospital’s Reimbursement functions.
This position reports to the Director of Finance and oversees the CDM/Reimbursement Coordinator and the Reimbursement Specialist. Manages the preparation, processing, research and analysis of Medicare, Medicaid and Blue Cross cost reports to ensure the accuracy of claim payments; and will be responsible for reviewing the monthly third party contractual allowances for inclusion in financial statement. Individual will evaluate, negotiate, implement and monitor payer-related contracts and serve as a liaison between staff and management providing day to day leadership to team members in order to improve the overall quality and timeliness of the deliverable. Handles the more complex aspects and issues that arise relating to reimbursement in the Finance Department. Qualified candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and a minimum of three to five years management experience in health care finance with reimbursement experience and training required; master’s or CPA preferred.
The hospital is a 213-bed, not-for-profit, JCAHO-accredited, facility offering a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services, supported by advanced technology and skilled specialists. The facility is the recipient of numerous quality awards including being named one of the nation's 100 Top Hospitals by Solucient, and being selected as one of West Michigan’s “101 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For.” Currently, the hospital is undergoing a $45 million expansion that will add 90,000 square feet to the facility. This project will provide new and expanded emergency and intensive care services, a special care pediatric nursery, and a new cardiac rehab facility. Nearly all patients will have the convenience of a private room.
Located on the eastern shore of Lake Michigan, the community has a population of 112,000 people in the greater metropolitan area.
