Manager of Corporate Accounting

The LaSalle Network is currently seeking a Manager of Corporate Accounting for a $500 million dollar, publicly-traded organization located in the heart of the Chicago Loop. This position is very hands-on and provides excellent exposure to other areas of the business as well as great potential for upward mobility. As the company grows rapidly by acquisition, you will have the opportunity to develop a broad skill set within a dynamic and successful organization.

Core Responsibilities include:

Maintaining the accounting function for at least 30 corporate companies which includes month-end close, inter-company transactions for 15 regions, variance analysis, and maintenance of the annual corporate budgets
Ensuring that policies, procedures, and internal controls are compliant with Sarbanes-Oxley
Recommendation of process improvements as deemed necessary to improve efficiency of reporting of financial data
GAAP research
Tax return preparation for the corporate companies
Maintaining banking relationships
Training, developing, and supervising accounting staff
REQUIREMENTS
Position Requirements:

At least 10 years of experience including recent experience in a corporate accounting environment
CPA certification
Thorough working knowledge of GAAP
Extensive knowledge of income tax laws and requirements
Strong familiarity with FAS 123(R)
Excellent software proficiency
