JOB SUMMARY:
The Manager of Accounting Services position is responsible for managing the shared service functions within accounting, including accounts receivable and accounts payable. The position has three direct reports, including the Collections Supervisor, Accounts Payable Supervisor and the Cash Applications Supervisor. The position will report directly to the Controller of Financial Reporting. This position will:

• Lead and manage change in the area of accounting shared services by re-engineering accounting processes to increase efficiency, improve internal control sustainability and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Identify improvements and make recommendations to Senior Management.
• Manage the team to ensure that all cash expenditures and receipts are timely, recorded accurately and in compliance with internal control procedures.
• Serve as a liaison with business operations to support operational needs while ensuring that efficient and internal control compliant procedures are in place to safeguard company assets.
• Ensure certain general ledger accounts are reconciled and accounted for in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles to provide reliable financial statements.
• Provide analytical support for account receivable and accounts payable trends and statistics.
• Determine an appropriate methodology and assess the adequacy of the bad debt reserve and other accounting estimates as required.
• Develop policies and procedures to effectively manage the transition of acquired companies and the accounting for disposed customer accounts.
• Coordinate certain activities with the external auditors to ensure a timely and efficient external audit process.
• Ensure a strong internal control environment is present and all functions are performed in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley.
• Keep Senior Management informed of financial statement risk and project status.
• Lead other special projects as deemed necessary.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required
• Minimum of 7 years experience in accounting and/or finance required
• Minimum of 2 years management experience required
• Cross–functional project management experience required


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• CPA License preferred
• Experience in a publicly traded company preferred
• Big 4 public accounting experience preferred
