Manager Trainee — Finance

Enter a management development program for branch operations in a major consumer finance company. The position provides training and hands-on experience in personal loans, home equity loans and credit lines, debt consolidation, and mortgage refinancing. In addition, there is a small number of moderately-priced financial products related to the consumer loans that provide an extra convenience for the customer and an opportunity for the manager trainee to earn extra bonuses.


You will learn every aspect of branch operations, sales and sales management, control of receivables, accounting and reporting at the branch level.


This position requires working one or two evenings per week until 7:00 pm and one Saturday morning per month.

An aggressive individual can become a branch manager in as little as twelve months. The company offers in addition further promotions to mid-level management in branch operations or auditing, and a career path to executive-level management.

Positions are available in Commack, Long Island, NY, and candidates should live within comfortable commuting distance of that location, preferably around Commack or to the east.
REQUIREMENTS
A four-year college degree is highly preferred and for all practical purposes a requirement. The degree does not have to be in business or finance.


Experience in finance or lending is not required. An ideal background would be one to two years' experience in an entry-level management position in a selling environment such as a retail specialty store—corporate, not mom-and-pop—or an auto leasing operation.
