Manager, Mutual Fund Finance Group

One of the world's leading asset managers, providing traditional and alternative investment solutions to financial intermediaries and institutional investors, is seeking a Manager to assist in the oversight of the operations of the Funds. This is an exciting opportunity to become a key member of a team that will shape the infrastructure of an existing group that has seen a significant increase in investment products and assets.

Responsibilities
Responsible for the day-to-day operations of 20+ investment companies
Assist in resolving valuation issues
Contribute to the oversight and implementation of policies and procedures
Review of regulatory filings (financial statements and prospectus)
Oversight of the Funds service providers
Responsible for the Funds annual budget
Liaise with operations, product development, legal and compliance, and marketing departments
Review of excise tax distributions
Special projects as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors degree in Accounting; CPA preferred
In-depth knowledge of fund accounting and administration
Minimum of 7 years of relative mutual fund industry experience
Manager experience in public accounting preferable
Technically competent in SEC and IRS rules and regulations
Knowledgeable regarding derivative products (swaps, futures, forwards, option and pricing strategies)
Proficient with financial disclosure requirements
Confident to interact with senior levels of internal management
Demonstrates an understanding of risk assessment and strong internal control procedures
Willingness to train and mentor staff
Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
