Manager, Financial Planning
SUMMARY/SCOPE OF POSITION:
Provide overall coordination for the MCC financial planning and analysis function which is comprised of three business units (Low Voltage Motor Control Centers, Medium Voltage Motor Control Centers and Engineered Solutions Business). This includes development of Annual Operating Plan, causal analysis of monthly operating performance and business forecasting.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Functional:
Coordinate preparation of forecast, AOP, and related presentation exhibits. Including analysis of price increases, discounting, manufacturing moves, coordination of manufacturing volumes with commercial plan, etc.
Provide monthly credit & collections analysis to headquarters and management.
Direct and provide guidance on monthly shipments and margin analysis specifically including mix analysis, price realization, and discounting.
Review, analyze and interpret all financial and budgetary reports, and provide recommendations to business management.
Utilize available financial reporting systems extensively to support CPAG senior management, business units and various headquarters' requests.
Leadership:
Prioritize, schedule and delegate work assignments, and manage the financial analysis staff to ensure the timely and cost effective completion of all work and projects assigned to the department. Provide professional development opportunities and training for financial staff.
Conducts tasks in accordance with applicable health, safety, quality, and environmental regulations (state/federal laws, ISO9001, ISO14000, etc) as well as Rockwell Automation policies and procedures.
Business:
Provide input & financial support to MCC business and program management. This includes working with project & business teams to understand financial impact of projects and programs.
Direct and provide guidance on monthly shipments and margin analysis specifically including mix analysis, price realization, and discounting.
Generate continual improvements of existing financial & business planning systems, including development of new financial systems, reports and metrics.
Ensures thorough familiarity with company policies and procedures. Appropriately applies policies and procedures in compliance with government laws. Policies and procedures include, but not limited to: Standards of Business Conduct, Intellectual Property, Control Environment, Information Protection, ISO 9000 & 14000, government regulations (e.g. health, safety, quality and environmental), and functional policies published on the Rockwell Automation Information Network.
Trains and motivates subordinates in the importance of full compliance with the letter and spirit of such policies and procedures.
Interpersonal:
Prepare and present financial information for use in MCC business, CPAG or Rockwell Automation review meetings.
Maintain an effective relationship with staff and management within and outside of the business unit.
REQUIREMENTS
BS or BA degree in Finance or Accounting with 8-12 years experience.
