Job Description:
F&PM helps clients improve business performance through a focus on providing business advisory services that achieve measurable benefits in operational effectiveness and strategic decision making. As a member of Ernst & Young's Financial & Performance Management team, the Senior Manager will lead multiple client engagement teams. The Senior Manager will work with a wide variety of clients to deliver professional services. The Manager is responsible for business development activities on strategic priority accounts. F&PM Services Include: Finance Function Strategy: Assist clients with the development and alignment of finance function strategy, plans and priorities within the enterprise strategy. Services may include: vision, strategy (e.g.. centralize, decentralize, core skills for growth of company versus required skills), cost containment (e.g., shared services, outsourcing), skill alignment. Finance Organizational Design and Development: Assist clients in the design of the finance function organization, which includes operating model and roles & responsibilities. Finance Operational Effectiveness: Support client initiatives and programs to improve the operational efficiency and effectiveness of finance functions and related operational processes (e.g. Order to Cash; Procure to Pay; Close to Report; Budgeting and Planning). Finance and Operational Systems Effectiveness: Assist clients by providing input into the definition, scoping and requirements for finance and related operational systems applications. . Management Information and Decision Support: Assist clients in conducting economic and statistical analyses to support client decision making. This may include development of fact based business plans and operational models based on client historical data and external information sources. Responsibilities: Develop and maintain productive relationships with client management. Collaborate to plan engagement objectives and a strategy that addresses risk and performance improvement. Manage expectations of service delivery. Stay informed of business/economic developments and their impact to the client. Demonstrate high levels of technical and professional knowledge and quickly assimilates new knowledge. Keeps up to date with current developments and trends in advisory services capabilities and industry knowledge. Deliver quality services. Value and model excellent client service by establishing goals and implementation plans to achieve a high quality deliverables and within expected timeframes and on budget. Monitors progress, manages risk and ensures key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes. Demonstrate F&PM’s four fundamental values: professional respect for all team members; personal accountability; trustworthiness and teamwork Develop people. Provide constructive on-the-job feedback/training. Foster an innovative and team-oriented work environment. REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: This opportunity offers the right candidate an excellent environment to learn and tremendous career potential. The ideal candidate will have: Bachelor's degree and/or Master’s degree with an emphasis in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, MIS (business perspective) and/or Business 5 plus years experience in providing advisory services in the finance function and other operational areas that impact the finance function (e.g. Order to Cash; Procure to Pay; Close to Report; Budgeting and Planning, Shared Services/Outsourcing) Experience in selling and delivering projects that cover the full life cycle of Assess, Design and Implementation support demonstrated record in driving revenue within existing clients and in developing new prospects at the “C” level of Fortune 500 companies experience in program management for large scale business transformation projects and programs Work collaboratively in a team environment (knows when to lead and when to follow) experience managing staff on multiple projects and providing direction to team members Strong analytical and problem solving skills excellent oral and written communication skills a high level of motivation and a self starting attitude an ability to think outside of the box, thrive on new challenges a strong work ethic a willingness to travel on short notice to meet client needs; travel is estimated at 80%
