Manager, Finance
Directs the financial function in the overall strategic plan for a specific operating division. Key interface with Operating Management for consultation and interpretation of financial information. Develops and trains operating managers in obtaining optimal financial results in the balance of guest service and employee satisfaction.Job Responsibilities: Directs and supervises the overall financial function. Oversees month-end financial close process to include detailed cause of change analysis. Manages finance staff by providing leadership, coaching, mentoring, career development, and performance management.
Develops financial analysis models and provides recommendations designed to protect assets, meet reporting requirements and effectively plan for financial needs of the organization.
Conducts “What if” analysis related to specific areas of the company and recommend changes as appropriate. Evaluates developments and trends, tests assumptions for reasonableness, proposes alternatives and ensures efficient allocation of resources.
Develops short and long-term business plans. Maintains long-term financial outlook including P&L, Annual Operating Plan, and Forecast modules for use with operational management.
Assists Director of Finance and Operating Management with special or unique projects.
Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
Performs other duties as assigned REQUIREMENTS
Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field required. Must have 5 years experience in finance and accounting functions, including a minimum of 3 years supervising in a finance department; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Qualified candidates should have excellent presentation and project management skills.
