Manager/Director of Financial Reporting

Duties:
Our client seeks a Manager/Director of Financial Reporting who will take a lead role in ensuring the company’s compliance with regard to preparing and reviewing SEC Filings, the requirements of SEC / GAAP, financial reports and disclosures, including 10-K’s, 10-Q’s, and 8-K’s.

This position will be responsible for preparing these documents, as well as being the primary liaison with our Legal Counsel, financial partners, and other financial professional service providers. You will provide research and guidance in the areas of revenue recognition and work closely with managers of our business units, sales team members, and our legal counsel.

You will be involved in both the month-end closing process, the analysis of financial results and for the inventory and cost accounting management. As such, you will become very familiar with the company’s various products and work closely with the Director of Operations and other personnel outside the Finance Group..
REQUIREMENTS
Keys:
• Bachelors Degree in Accounting required
• CPA required
• 3 to 5+ years experience in Revenue Recognition & Stock-Based Compensation in a private or publically-traded firm required
• 1 to 3 years experience in SEC filings and Auditing
• Prior experience in reconciling various corporate ledger accounts, managing the quarterly review and audits by the company’s external auditors
• Proven record of exceptional oral/written, analytical and superior people skills are essential.
