RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Capital Management team is responsible for strengthening our worldwide capital approval and spending controls by implementing or modifying tools and processes that support these objectives. Capital spending continues to have a greater focus with the senior leadership and this team is tasked with providing the appropriate information to ensure we are making sound financial investments and can hold stewards of capital responsible for their spending. The capital evaluation manager is an integral part of this team and in critical to achieving our objectives.

Specific Responsibilities include:
·Work with key constituents to properly analyze capital projects. Provide guidance, as needed, to individuals preparing DCF’s.
oOur real estate partners have the greatest on going support need.
oPrepare / review DCF’s for domestic lease renewals
oPrepare / review real estate deal analysis
·Review all DCF’s before presented to the Capital Committee
oEvaluate key assumptions used for reasonableness.
oProvide feedback and direction, if needed
·Modify or develop analytical tools (DCF, lease vs buy, etc.) to assess the financial impact of capital spending decisions.
·Periodically analyze and update critical assumptions (inflation rates, flow through rates, tax rates & effects, sales prediction methodology)
oDevelop financial information to strengthen the underlying assumptions used by the business.
·Perform /Review post implementation analytics to determine if project objectives were achieved.
oAccess underlying assumptions
·Participate in or lead other projects to help support the capital management control.

May also be involved in the following annual projects:
·Periodically (annually) analyze economics of all domestic stores determining if closure us better than operating
·Create data tables for key input (4 walls cash flow, sales trends, real estate values) to evaluate store economics (for lease renewals and store closures)

Due to the small size of the group, the Evaluation Manager would also work closely with our Treasury team and will be expected to help with other capital related projects and analyses.
REQUIREMENTS
·B.S./B.A. in Accounting/Finance, MBA preferred
·5-7 years relevant work experience
·Solid business acumen with the ability to develop a deep understanding of “R” Us businesses.
·Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with the ability to draw conclusions from analysis
·Strong financial knowledge with solid modeling experience
·Solid knowledge of finance and NPV concepts. Ideal candidate would have applied these in business decision-making.
·Strong written and verbal communication skills
·Strong influencing skills with an ability to affect change through objective analysis and reason
·Ability to work well with individuals from all parts of the organization and influence others (peers, seniors, subordinates) to help
·Ability to juggle multiple projects or analyses
