MANAGER of FINANCIAL REPORTING

MANAGER OF FINANCIAL REPORTING for a Major Jewelry Wholesaler.

The role of this individual will be to provide management with timely financial information.

Specific responsibilities would include:
• Preparation and review of quarterly financial statements for individual operating units and consolidated results

• Quarterly variance

• Work closely with operating divisions on financial and special projects

• Work to constantly upgrade and develop process improvements

• Interface with all levels of senior management

• Work with internal bookkeepers in order to insure timeliness of information needed for financial statements

• Work towards implementing monthly financial reporting and analysis

• Work with outside accountants in regards to quarterly reviews/audits

• Prepare cash flows and annual projections for all operating divisions

• Special projects as ability and desire allow
REQUIREMENTS
SKILLS/BACKGROUND REQUIRED:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

• 5 - 6 years of experience. Public experience a plus.Must have private financial reporting experience. Background of dealing with financial statements involving consolidation also a +.

• Knowledge of GAAP

• CPA a plus but not required

• Solid organizational and analytical skills

• Experience dealing with non – US operations and foreign currency issues

• Strong English Language verbal/written skills. Must be able to communicate well with all levels of personnel.

• Strong knowledge of Excel. Knowledge of Sequal time a plus. Must be able to work with Oracle based applications.

• Must be willing to take ownership of projects and find proper solutions and/or alternatives.

• Candidate must be a team player who has enthusiasm, hard worker and wants to advance.

• A candidate who has been involved with a computer conversion would be a plus.
