Life-Health Staff Accountant

COUNTRY Insurance & Financial Services has an opening for a Staff Accountant in our home office in Bloomington, IL. This position is located within our Life/Health Financial Reporting department.

Responsibilities include:
-Preparation of NAIC quarterly/annual statements for L/H
operations and other companies
-Identify and implement changes as a result of operational or
regulatory changes
-Develop and maintain Excel and Hyperion reports
-Complete inter-company reinsurance agreements
-Investigation of discrepancies in company results
-Complete projects as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications include:
-Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required, 5 year degree
preferred
-CPA designation preferred
-Knowledge of statutory requirements and financial results
strongly preferred
-Strong analytical and organization skills
-Proven ability to handle pressure of deadlines
-Experience with MS Excel and Word, also Lawson and Essbase
