The Lead Government A/R Specialist will bill and collect from all governmental payers including Medicare, Medicaid, Champus, HCHCP and Hospice, as well as assist the CSR with patient inquiries and pursue payment from governmental third party payers according to guidelines set forth in the department's policies and procedures manual. Will coordinate collection efforts with other PFS personnel as needed. The goal of the Lead Government A/R Specialist is to ensure compliance in all billing practices while obtaining payment for services in the shortest time possible. Also responsible for tracking and monitoring the daily Medical Necessity billing in accordance with Medicare guidelines via the Omega Medical Necessity software.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration preferred with emphasis on Computer Science. Minimum of three years in a hospital business office or other experience in a customer service capacity required.
