Classification: Regular Full-Time Location: Denver, CO Job Responsibilities: This position is a business/system analyst for the OneQwest business intelligence/decision support data marts and reporting tools. Reviews, analyzes and communicates information about financial data in OneQwest tools to users across the company Responsible to data analysis and accuracy assurance Responsible for requirements and documentation of system changes and enhancements through partnerships with business SMEs Creates, designs or communicates to data modelers reporting solutions through integrated knowledge of client analytic needs and overall system architecture Responsible for maintaining common definitions, standardization and change control in implemented reference tables Works closely with data modelers to identify and validate data sources Designs UAT test criteria, conducts testing or leads team in UAT Serves as liaison to systems support personnel, business unit analysts, and product managers across the company Responsible for process and system project task completion - data testing, training, progress tracking and follow-up, task planning and implementation Organizes, develops and delivers presentations to all levels of the organization on data analysis to facilitate discussion regarding solutions, alternatives, and risks that help stakeholders make the most effective decisions BasicAs a dedicated employee, you are one of Qwest's most important assets. REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications:
Strong analytical skills required to identify linkages between various sources of financial information, interpret results, determine underlying causes, and formulate conclusions based on operational factors and activities Ability to work independently to seek out and develop valid data, reports, and information, and to take action beyond specific, explicit job responsibilities Demonstrated leadership and initiative skills Aptitude for continuously improving work methods and results individually and for the team Proficiency in MS Excel and Access in order to manage and analyze large databases of company information, with ability to quickly learn new systems Ability to clearly communicate ideas and information, both orally and in writing, in ways that bring understanding to clients and team members Ability to utilize PowerPoint to develop presentations Bachelor of Arts or Sciences degree from accredited school (Business, Finance, Accounting preferred) Preferred Job Qualifications: 3 - 5 years of business experience, including demonstrated success with financial or system analysis Familiarity with any of Qwest’s financial, order entry, provisioning, engineering, facility cost, billing, or customer management systems and/or processes Knowledge of IBI WebFOCUS or SAS Knowledge of telecommunications products and services Take the next step to a great career with Qwest!
