Lead Associate - Client Reporting

By combining your talent with our strength, we can achieve great results.Your job as a Lead Associate in Client Reporting is to train and supervise junior employees in maintaining compliance with tax withholding regulations for 39 states and the IRS. You prepare and file IRS and state tax forms for UBS Financial Services. You maintain regulated schedules of tax payments to state and federal agencies. You process periodic (daily, monthly, quarterly, annual) tax payments and returns. You reconcile multiple tax withholdings payable and receivable accounts vs. IRS forms 1099R, state and federal returns, and client accounts. You provide a timely and accurate response to branch inquires via the STAR system and telephone. You perform adjustments to tax withholding transactions according to the IRS and departmental regulations. You process withholding and IRS forms W-8BEN and 1042S for non resident alien (NRA) beneficiaries. You communicate with the Legal Department in order to update procedures and verify treaty withholding rates. In addition, you manage regulatory system projects, monitor progress of Information System Development (ISD) counterparts, and provide content expertise. You design plans and lead department staff in testing tax forms (1099R, 1099Q, 5498, 5498 ESA, and Schedule P) and systems for accuracy. You write communications (to field and clients) in regard to tax forms, procedures, and system information. REQUIREMENTS
Basic Qualifications:You are a professional with a Bachelor’s Degree and/or applicable work experience in Accounting/Bookkeeping. You are knowledgeable of IRS regulations in regard to IRAs. You have strong communication and interpersonal skills. You are proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
