Lead Accountant

We have an immediate opening for a Lead Accountant in Bethesda, MD. This position is with a good sized stable company and has lots of room for growth. This person will lead junior staff accountants and must have the people / management skills for that task.


There will be detailed cash reconciliations and with that, heavy research. Someone who can look at it from the front end and then compare to the bank reporting to note any anomalies. Someone who can deal with the cash, inventory, revenue, A/R. GL, journal entries and basic GAAP is also needed. A thinker is sought, someone who can determine the best and most effective to accomplish the goals at hand. This person needs to be totally on top of their work papers and refer to that when checking balances. They certainly need to recognize potential issues and bring them to someone’s attention. It is a team environment, so someone who will mesh with the group is needed.

REQUIREMENTS
A four year degree in Accounting is required. (It cannot be a finance, economics, business administration, or alike degree. It must be accounting).


5-9 Years Experience as an Accountant


CPA Distinction


There is a lot of room for growth.

Strong bank reconciliations and GL experience an absolute must!
