This position is responsible for maintaining, with high accuracy, the Meditech GL dictionaries for the entire System. The Lead Specialist is responsible for coordinating system-wide implementation of new accounts and departments based on new internal accounting policies or procedures, new management directives, new healthcare industry regulations, and new accounting pronouncements in relation to the chart of accounts and various standard dictionaries. This position is responsible for evaluating requests for the implementation of new accounts. The Lead Specialist will serve as the liaison between the Financial Reporting Group and Financial Systems Group. The Lead Specialist is responsible for ensuring consistency of reporting and account structures among Hyperion Enterprise (consolidation system), StrataCast (Forecasting system) and Meditech. This position is responsible for maintaining StrataCast and for mapping and reconciling GL data from various systems to Hyperion Enterprise and StrataCast. This position is responsible for designing and coordinating the roll-out of budget templates and ensuring the proper set up of categories, accounts, departments in Hyperion Enterprise by working with the Financial Systems Group.CHRISTUS Health is committed to providing meaningful benefits for you and your family and to sharing with you the prosperity you help create. REQUIREMENTS
Skills: Bachelors Degree in Finance or Accounting
Conceptual knowledge of inter-company eliminations
Conceptual knowledge of databases
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Excellent knowledge of accounting and accounting systems
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate, work with and give directions to all levels of personnel in a large organization.
Excellent organizational skills.
Deadline-oriented and ability to multi-task.Experience:
3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the healthcare industry.
Experience in Meditech, Hyperion Enterprise, and StrataCast preferred.Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications:
No certification required; but CPA preferred
