Junior Buyer/Procurement Specialist

Contract Junior Buyer needed for large multi-national corporation in the Innsbrook area. Contract through Summer 2007. Duties include interaction with suppliers, procurement, spreadsheet and report preparation, price sourcing, invoice discrepancies. Competitive compensation. Preference given to individuals with two plus years experience and some college coursework completed. Qualified applicants apply please.
REQUIREMENTS
Tasks/Functions:

Contact suppliers for ship dates, tracking numbers, proof of delivery, weight tickets, return authorization numbers, and order confirmations; matching these with orders Update text on pricing, lead times, price protection, and FOB locations Gather and sort various purchasing data and generate spreadsheets.
Enter ship dates and tracking numbers. Set up new vendors.
Contact suppliers for (new) price quotes Obtain updated pricing from vendors Obtain and compare ChemTreat's freight rates with vendors's rate. Resolve vendor discrepancies for buyers Filing Shredding Copies Other assorted duties as assigned.
