Job Description
Jr. & Sr. Staff Accountant
Staff accountants are responsible for a majority of the detail work necessary to maintain the accounting records of the company, produce monthly and weekly financial reports and provide informative financial analysis. This position is interesting because of the opportunity to review the entire accounting process. This work includes the following:


Implementing new Sarbanes-Oxley procedures and requirements

Analysis of key accounts to assess accuracy, completeness, and need for adjustment

Preparation of journal entries for both monthly recurring journals and adjustments

Review of financial statements to ensure financial statements are accurate and complete

Production of weekly, monthly and ad hoc reports for use by senior management

Special projects and analysis as needed

Interaction with support staff and management across the organization to obtain information necessary to complete responsibilities
Job Requirements
A degree in accounting with 0-4 years experience; has CPA or is a candidate
Proficient with Excel, Access, and Word and adept at learning new software programs
Good verbal and written communication skills
Able to multi-task and work both independently and as a member of a team
Excellent problem solving skills
