Jr. Analyst, Forecasting & Budgeting

MANAGEMENT & REPORTING STRUCTURE:

The Jr. Analyst Forecasting & Budgeting/Reporting will report to the Director Store Budgeting.

POSITION PURPOSE:

Responsible for assisting with the ongoing and timely budgeting, forecasting of sale, payroll and other expenses for all stores.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Rank/report poor expense performers monthly.

- Track expenses through the month to ensure stores/dept meet budget requirements/

- Capital tracking for all Store Ops Depts.

- Weekly/Daily journal entries (fulfillment house, P-card reclass).

- Run GL and Retail Ideas Reports for all expense accounts.

- Maintain store date base for all stores (closing, opening, remodeling, misc) etcâ?¦

- Provide weekly sales, UPT, Avergae Transaction, payroll percentage, suggestions for improvement.


PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

- B.S. or B.A. degree in finance or accounting with strong analytical skills (MBA a plus).

- 2 plus years experience in planning, budgeting and forecasting store operations.

- Internediate MS Office and MS Access skills as well as strong knowledge of financial and reporting software is also necessary.

- Attentive to detail, well organized, and able to function in a fast paced environment.

- Skills in financial analysis along with a background in dealing with cross-functional teams/leadership.
