JUNIOR ACCOUNTANT

We are Jetro Cash & Carry / Restaurant Depot The nations leading cash & carry wholesale grocery / food service distributor. We're a multi-million dollar distribution company operating over forty 80,000 + Sq. Ft. "Big Box" warehouses coast to coast and we're expanding.

We're growing and we are currently looking to hire an entry level Accounting graduate to train as a JR. ACCOUNTANT for the Internal Audit department of our College Point, Queens corporate headquarters.



JOB REQUIREMENTS

Accounting +/or finance degree
Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Must be highly motivated, detail oriented, ability to take the initiative and be a team player
Strong written, oral, interpersonal and communication skills a must
Ability to meet deadlines
Strong Analytical Skills


Selected applicant will be trained in the following:


Respnsible for maintaining vendor information
Create & maintain spreadsheets to calculate rebate program monies
Maintain cash reciepts file, including making cash deposits
Maintain, monitor & collect coupon & billback monies from vendor rebate programs
Audit vendor payments to ensure that all monies are recieved in a timely manner
Work with vendors / buyers to resolve discrepancies and collect all monies due
Monthly reporting on program status and open items / balances

Previous high volume corporate accounting experience for a supermarket, club warehouse, big box /mass merchandising national retail store chain is a plus.
