CISCO NETWORK ENGINEER

Our national client, headquartered in Houston, Texas, is currently seeking a Cisco Network Engineer who will be responsible for a large LAN/WAN network consisting primarily of Cisco routers, switches and access points, firewalls, and Cisco Voice Telephony Systems

Responsible for the Installation, configuration and ongoing monitoring of equipment. Will work with service providers on WAN and Internet connectivity. Detect and define issues, design and deploy solutions.

REQUIREMENTS
7 years experience in a production network environment
CCNP and CCDP certification or equivalent job experience.
Experience with Cisco’s Wireless Access Points.
Experience with large structured corporate LAN / WAN environments.
Extensive knowledge of TCP/IP and network routing protocols.
Ability to Troubleshoot and Resolve network problems.
Strong background with Cisco Switches, Firewalls, IDS, VPN Concentrator and Routers.
Efficiency in using network analyzing tools (i.e Cisco Works, and Sniffer Pro).
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Proficiency in Designing and deploying network equipment in a corporate environment.
Proven knowledge of network Security, Router and Firewalls.
Proven knowledge of WAN technologies, i.e. Frame Relay, IP/VPN and PKI
Proven knowledge of Switching and Routing protocols.
Proven Knowledge of Cisco Voice Telephony Systems to support day to day operations.
Proven knowledge of Cisco Pix, IDS, IP/VPN and Concentrators.
Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems a plus.
