Internal Staff Auditor

Conduct internal audits and reviews of Laboratory operations focused on government contract compliance, business process improvement, and consulting services.Duties: Plan and conduct independent internal audits and reviews, including defining scope, and identifying requirements, in support of the Laboratory's annual internal audit plan. Responsible for audit planning, creating audit programs, conducting risk assessments, performing fieldwork, preparing work papers, writing audit reports and presenting audit findings, and making recommendations to management . Perform audits of Laboratory?s policies and procedures. Perform contract compliance audits to determine adherence to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) requirements, and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).
REQUIREMENTS
Required: Bachelor's degree in Accounting; or a degree in a related field such as finance or business that included 24 semester hours in accounting with 0 - 3 years of auditing experience. Highly motivated self-starter with excellent analytical and organizational skills and the ability to use judgment to perform assignments.
Experience with Microsoft office products including Excel and Word.Desired: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA). Understanding of FAR, CAS, and GAAP requirements. DCAA Experience. Experience interacting with DCAA & DCMA.
