Lennar, one of America’s leading homebuilders, is currently seeking an analytical professional with a background in accounting and finance to join our team as Internal Reporting Manager. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty listed below satisfactorily. The ideal candidate will possess an ability to focus on relevant variables and formulate efficient work plans for analysis projects as well as manage and develop a staff of professionals with varied backgrounds. There will be numerous special projects arising out of Executive level requests for information for which there may be no precedents as to approach, structure, or methodology. A clear and concise presentation of reports, findings, and recommendations is paramount. A willingness to teach and learn while incorporating change is critical, as the department is expanding its role as an information gathering/reporting department to focus more on analytics by automating reporting as much as possible. The position reports to the Senior Manager of Internal Reporting, although significant exposure to ExecutiveManagement should be expected as well.
The Internal Reporting Manager responsibilities include:
Manage a staff of senior and junior financial analysts, potentially including a financial reporting supervisor
Manage, communicate, and monitor goals, deadlines, and assignments
Review reports and schedules prepared by staff prior to distribution for accuracy, formatting, cross-referencing, and reasonableness
Effectively communicate and resolve errors, omissions, or other issues with staff and external departments with a focus on process improvement
Prepare reporting packages including, but not limited to
Quarterly Board of Directors Package
Quarterly Gross Margin and SG&A Analysis by State
Monthly Acquisition Summary
Assist Senior Manager of Internal Reporting with ad-hoc analysis and process automation/reporting improvements, as well as special projects
Facilitate meetings and build cohesive working relationships with other departments
Assess staffing needs and levels

REQUIREMENTS
Requirements for Internal Reporting Manager
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
CPA/MBA preferred
5-7 Years experience in financial/management reporting, spreadsheet modeling, and account reconciliation and analyses
Experience guiding and developing staff
Detail-oriented to ensure accuracy in analysis and presentations
Exposure to cross departmental functions and relations
Ability to formulate effective and efficient work plan to identify key areas of reporting improvement
Proficiency in PC Applications: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Essbase
Experience and efficiency in JD Edwards and report writing tools (FASTRs, World Writer, etc.)
High initiative and ability to learn independently and perform with minimal supervision
