Internal Auditor Staff

Internal Auditor - StaffA public company in Nashville, TN, is searching for a staff-level internal audit to join its growing team! This company is seeking someone to perform financial, operational and control audits and to present his/her findings through written reports and oral presentations. The position will include Sarbanes Oxley implementation, documentation, and testing.Responsibilities:
Audit financial and operational records.
Identify and analyze inefficient practices; assess alternatives to these practices.
Review compliance with policies, procedures and state and federal laws and regulations.
Assist in meeting requirements of SOX, including documentation and testing.
Evaluate the adequacy of risk assessments and audit plans.
Organize and carry out internal audit functions through the preparation of acceptable working papers.
Prepare working papers to communicate audit findings and recommendations for improvement regarding policies, procedures and internal control.Interested Candidates must meet the following criteria.
College graduate with 1-3 years experience--Master of Accountancy or MBA preferred.
Ability to sit for CPA--Candidates with CPA preferred.
Willingness to travel up to 20-25%.
