Internal Auditor

Safeco’s Internal Audit department is actively recruiting for an Internal Auditor. This professional level auditor position will assist with planning and project definition; help develop and complete test procedures; identify and understand root causes, risks, and opportunities; recommend system improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness and communicate recommendations. This individual will work closely with various business units, departments and all levels of management.To be considered further, candidates will posses an undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Information Systems and 2-4 years of experience drawn from diverse roles in industry, public accounting or consulting. Professional certification (CPA, CIA, CMA, CISA) preferred. Proficiency in MS Office/PC software applications required. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both oral and written and thrive in a challenging and dynamic team environment. Safeco operates in a highly complex computer environment which includes Windows 2000, distributed systems & PeopleSoft. Limited travel required.
