Intermediate Evaluator, Structured Finance

Standard & Poor's is seeking an Intermediate Evaluator - Structured Finance to join its Evaluations team in Securities Services.

 

In this position, your main responsibility will be to generate market values on various asset types that exist in the Mortgage and Asset-Backed marketplace. You must be able to interpret key market data elements in order to generate these prices. The position requires heavy client interaction, as well as inter-company team building, so strong verbal and presentation skills are required. Strict deadlines must be meet on a daily basis.



In addition, this position will require involvement in the development of models for new structures. Furthermore, this person will be involved in the development and completion of structured finance projects.





Essential Accountabilities: Run and maintain pricing models Tolerance testing of results Interface with clients, dealers, brokers, sales and other market participants. The ability to develop good working relationships with these groups will be critical.

REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree required. 4-6 years experience in the securities marketplace with some understanding of fixed income securities. Strong math skills. Calculus and financial mathematics a plus. Proficiency in working with MS Excel, knowledge of Access. Strong customer focus - a must in order to build & maintain relationships. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently but well in a team environment. Ability to prioritize workload and work under strict deadline, time frames and pressure.
