Insurance Corporate Sales Manager

Executive desired with top leadership qualities required to lead team of 40 producers for large independent insurance agency based in Fort Myers, FL with a 25 year success record of growth and community recognition. Enjoy employee ownership while developing, mentoring and monitoring sales team to meet growing agency business goals for 12 branch locations throughout Florida and North Carolina. Position responsibilities include recruiting, hiring, and setting sales goals while developing a top performing sales team accountable for production goals set forth in annual business plans and providing on-going metrics based coaching to enhance professional growth while adhering to the agency's marketing philosophy. This includes identifying and cultivating new market opportunities and expanding of accounts, managing sales' divisions to meet business plans, goals, and objectives, and working directly with the CEO and President to develop and execute business goals. Experience requirements include college education with property and casualty experience and licensing as well as life and health experience with a minimum of ten years sales experience and a proven track record of successful sales, and a demonstrated history of success for team development. CIC or CPCU designations are a plus for position and a working knowledge of Applied is preferred. Top salary commensurate with experience along with excellent benefits package, ESOP, 401k match and incentive bonus.
REQUIREMENTS
The primary role of the Corporate Sales Manager for OTC, is driving the sales and distribution effort for the agency. A thorough understanding of the total range of products and services offered by the agency is required along with the capacity to lead and direct sales activities. Must be able to prepare, implement and monitor annual business/sales plan and prepare corresponding reports. Development and administration of salary budgets and compensation for sales force is required. Recruitment, interviewing and hiring, along with management of sales force is priority as well as resolution of personnel matters while maintaining good morale among producers. Must be able to direct and provide training and coaching for producers while working with key leaders to document, communicate and enforce standardized procedures. Implementation and monitoring of performance appraisals and producer licensing will be essential. Attendance and participation in monthly staff meetings will be required in addition to conducting weekly sales meetings. Regular branch visits to assist in resolving sales related issues is required. Attendance at sales seminars and continued education will be ongoing along with participation in professional and community affairs. A positive and professional image which inspires others to maintain the agency's high standards is a must for the successful candidate.
