Job Description:
Within our talented and dynamic Insurance & Actuarial Advisory Services (IAAS) group, the IAAS Assistant will work on multiple client engagement teams that perform actuarial loss reserve, ratemaking, due diligence, valuation and pricing analyses, model building, cash flow testing, and other related actuarial projects. The Assistant will also receive on-the-job training to acquire practical experience in addressing business/technical issues and in applying industry expertise andE &Y policies/procedures on client engagements. Develop working knowledge of engagement objectives and the client's language/industry terms. Learn/apply data processes, test controls, and perform substantive procedures. Create work products that document engagement procedures. Establish/manage priorities, create/manage workplans, communicate the status of activities, and accumulate/report all chargeable hours. Successfully meet deadlines.Maintain a strong client focus and maintain/develop productive working relationships with clients. Stay informed of current business/economic developments relevant to the client.Develop people through teamwork, integrity, and leadership.Commit to developing knowledge. Use technology to continually learn, share knowledge with team members, and enhance service delivery. Respect/protect confidential client information.Bring potential opportunities to the team's attention. REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: This opportunity offers the right candidate an excellent environment to learn and tremendous career potential. To qualify, candidates must have: an undergraduate or graduate degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or other related major a minimum of 1 year of related experience solid computer skills excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
The successful candidate must also be actively pursuing Associateship in the Casualty Actuarial or Society of Actuaries, with 1 actuarial exam passed. The successful candidate must also be working towards professional certification, and be willing and able to travel, when necessary.
