Import Specialist

Anchor Blue Retail Group is the Home Office for Anchor Blue and Levi's and Dockers by MOST specialty chain retail clothing stores. We have an exciting opportunuty for an Import Specialist to work out of our Home Office located in Ontario, CA. The purpose of the Import Specialist is to monitor and track merchandise, ensuring timely delivery to the warehouse. This position reports to the Director of Logistics.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Track inbound shipments and update production and distributionPerform entry reviews on all shipments to achieve full compliance rate with the CBP laws and business standards for importsApprove all final reconciliation and bank discrepanciesAssist and develop Sourcing department in Customs and logistics related issuesMaintain and communicate with vendor community the latest in compliant issues and business standard for imports
Maintain and update factory profilesHelp product managers to attain optimum margin by providing duty and freight cost breakdown of merchandiseHandle all Customs related communication with broker, regarding Customs initiative and requests for informationWork with freight forwarder for freight bookings for both air and ocean
REQUIREMENTS
Working knowledge of HTS and Quota categoriesKnowledge of C-TPAT & Credit operationsExperience working with freight forwarders, steamship lines and domestic truckersBA/BS degree or equivalent work experience requiredMinimum of 4 years previous textile importing experienceExcellent knowledge of Microsoft Word and ExcelExcellent oral and written communication skillsA team player and ability to work quickly and under pressure to meet deadlinesExcellent analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail
