IT Portfolio/Planning Manager/Director

RESPONSIBILITIES: The IT Portfolio management group is responsible for IT portfolio oversight and support for Inovant. We have responsibility for specific portfolios and provide services and standards to other portfolio and account managers. This position will be accountable for one or_more project portfolios. Depending on the portfolio, this could include annual planning, funding facilitation, initiation, execution oversight, financial monitoring, etc. Requires regular communication with various levels of management and contributors across the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for support and oversight of specific IT project portfolio(s) Helps to ensure successful project/portfolio planning and delivery. Secondary Job Responsibilities: Participate in the delivery of a common project portfolio management framework including tools, methods and processes as well as provide value added support for stakeholders.

REQUIREMENTS: 6 to 8 years of project management and related experience is essential, as is demonstrated experience running a Project Management office or a large project portfolio. Solid understanding of project/program management techniques and Portfolio Management required. Excellent interpersonal skills, strong facilitation and coordination skills. Ability to lead through influencing and negotiating. Outstanding written and oral communication skills. Good organizational, process and analytical skills. Detail oriented, strong follow-through, and the ability to see and understand the big-picture. Works quickly and independently and is also a strong team player. Ability to delegate tasks as appropriate. BS/MBA in Business or related field required. PMP Certification or equivalent strongly preferred. Working knowledge of project management tools such as MS Project and Niku Workbench or similar project management software. Skilled with MS Office suite required. Experience with ProSight or related tools.
