PricewaterhouseCoopers is currently looking for individuals with strong IT audit backgrounds. You will have the opportunity to serve as part of a team of professionals delivering quality service to a variety of top-tier clients. The Systems and Process Assurance mission is to provide management with independent assessments of business risk, regulatory compliance, internal control assessments, and the efficiency/adequacy of business systems and processes. As a "hands-on" Senior Associate, you will be expected to lead and support in some of the following areas: Systems Risk Assessments and Audit Plans; Performance of System Audits; Development and Clearance of IT Audit Reports; and creation and management of client relationships. Responsibilities will include developing work plans and project approaches in the financial audit context, analyzing state of the art client server systems and multi-platform systems while providing detailed reports on the vulnerability's of these systems to our clients. You will be expected to take a consultant's approach to the attest/assurance process of a client's operations utilizing PwC practice methodology to assess our client's operations. This will include risk assessment, planning, "review by interview", analytical procedures, and focused reviews of information systems. You will be responsible for conveying solutions to our client's complex business problems through the use of written reports and presentations. The opportunity will be available for you to develop your responsibility in supervising, coaching, developing individual team members as well as playing your part in developing the core of our local practice
REQUIREMENTS
Education Requirement:
4 year degree required, CPA/CISA a plus. Bachelor's degree in accounting with additional courses in information technology or computer science idealEssential Requirements:
Big 4 experience a plus, 4 - 6 yrs experience of performing system audit reviews
Familiarity with mainframe, client server security and controls issues, Unix, Windows NT, and/or networks
Familiarity with SAP, Oracle Financials, PeopleSoft
Familiarity with Sarbanes Oxley, COSO, COBIT and Internal Controls key
Strong oral and written communication skills
Commitment to exceptional client service
Creative problem solving ability and time management skills
Flexible, self-starter possessing intellectual curiosity
Ability to interact with various levels of client and Firm management
Flexibility to travel 20-40% out-of-town annually
Must have a mixture of accounting and IT systems audit experience
In addition to IT skills, candidates should have sufficient accounting knowledge/experience to understand the IT implications in a financial audit capacity
