IT Associate - Cargill Risk Management Financial Solutions -

This position is responsible for maintaining and developing C++ applications that interface business data into the Summit System or process existing Summit data to facilitate reporting and / or legal requirements. Summit is an enterprise wise application providing management and general ledger reporting to Cargill's financial trading businesses on the Risk Management Financial Solutions platform. The application leverages PeopleSoft Financials 8.8 with added functionality through the use of custom C++ programs.



Principle Accountabilities:



50% - Creation of new programs or interfaces requested by users of business analysts.

30% - Maintenance or enhancement of existing C++ interface programs..

20% - Production support of C++ interfaces running in the production environment.



As business needs change, interface requirements change. Must be able to respond quickly to customer demands to ensure trading decisions can be made on the most current and accurate data. All interfaces are written in C++ using a set of class libraries called the UDI or the Universal Data Interface.
REQUIREMENTS


Required:4 year college degree in CS or equivalent experience Strong knowledge of C++ programming language Expert understanding of Object Oriented design Ability to coordinate multiple projects at once Demonstrates strong problem solving skills, have the ability to investigate problems, find solutions, and determine best approach to resolve issues Experience with Oracle and SQL Ability to meet deadlines on a consistent basis

Desired:Comfortable using Excel and Visual Basic for Applications Excellent organizational skills Knowledge of Java programming language Solid understanding of Microsoft Visual Basic Financial Markets experience Synon and / or Plex development experience General understanding of double entry accounting system Working knowledge of iSeries Knowledge of UDI classes or architecture
