IB Finance - Tech Portfolio Manager

A Portfolio Manager in IB Finance - Technology is responsible for overseeing the financial and resource planning, forecasting and analysis across a Line of Business within the Investment Bank or across a Chief Business Technologist's (CBT's) application portfolio.



Portfolio Management is a critical aspect of IB Technology's ability to ensure we spend wisely and execute effectively.



This role is global in scope and reports to either the business-aligned Business Manager or the CBT with a dotted line to the Business-aligned Business Manager. Portfolio Managers may have Portfolio Analysts reporting to them, depending on the size of the organization.



Primary responsibilities include:

General oversight of exception reporting (e.g., Appquest, PAR, people data, business cases and productivity)

Support the management team in decision making to optimize the investment portfolio (%spend approved, % benefits realized, etc)

Analyze performance measures and identify issues/opportunities to raise with managers (balanced scorecard, staff/client surveys, ad hoc polls, etc)

Support line managers in developing relevant plans, forecasts, variance analyses that reflect current business commitments

Partner with central Resource and Location Strategy team to drive strategy, manage exception-based reporting processes and issue resolution

Lead annual planning process, major re-forecast exercises/ re-plans and the productivity agenda from a business perspective (in partnership with Finance)

Management reporting and Communications - including CTO/CBT monthly management packs, major presentations, client reporting and organizational communications (e.g., newsletter, website updates, CTO Town Halls)

Manage allocations process across CTOs/CBTs full spend

Participate in cross-LOB standards forums (e.g., program/project taxonomy, etc) REQUIREMENTS
