Human Resources Generalist/Payroll Processor

We are currently seeking a Human Resources Generalist/Payroll Processor in our Industry City, CA location. The HR Generalist/Payroll Processor will administer HR policies and programs covering all of the following: Employee Relations, EEO, On Boarding, Worker’s Compensation Administration, Leave of Absence, FMLA, PDL, CFRA, Disability Leave, and PFL. The selected individual will also process and administer weekly payroll in conjunction with our outside payroll/HR service provider.Among the duties and responsibilities of this position are…Planning and conducting all on boarding procedures for new hires
Ensures I-9 and other on required documents are complete, accurate and compliant
Processes weekly payroll for multiple locations in conjunction with payroll service vendor requirements
Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, employee relations issues and programs and acts as liaison to our outside HR services provider and New York company headquarters
Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation, and may conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.
REQUIREMENTS
To be considered for this position, a candidate will possess, and demonstrate, the following…BA/BS degree in Human Resources Management or related field.Speak, read, and write Fluent English and Spanish
5+ years experience and/or training in both Payroll and HR administration
Demonstrated HR Generalist experience in a manufacturing/distribution environmentCandidate must be able to interact effectively with all levels of employees and senior management.Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment are essential.
Solid knowledge of MS Office, computerized time keeping and payroll processing applications is a must.
Experience administering Leaves of Absence, FMLA, PDL, CFRA, Disability Leave, PFL, and Workers’ Compensation Leave
